Vision
The FAIR SHAKE NETWORK has a vision that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to fully participate in their community and realize their dreams.

Mission
The mission of FAIR SHAKE NETWORK is to ensure that people with disabilities have a 'fair shake' by educating policymakers and the public, and providing an effective voice in the development of public policy.


The FSN is incorporated as a non-profit and is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of 10 members and is elected from the membership of the association. The current membership structure of the FSN includes individual and organizational members.

Individual Membership
Individual Members: are individuals with disabilities, family members, or other interested individuals who support the philosophy, mission, vision and goals of the FSN. Individual members have the right to be present and heard at all meetings; vote at all meetings of the FSN; fully participate in committees; chair committees; serve on the board of directors; hold any office on the executive committee.

Organizational Membership
Organizational Members: are organizations which support the philosophy, mission, vision and goals of the FSN. Organizational members must select a designated representative to the FSN. The designated representative shall have the right to be present and heard at all meetings; vote at all meetings of the FSN; fully participate in committees; chair committees; serve on the board of directors, and hold any office or position on the executive committee. Additional representatives from the organization may attend and participate in all meetings and serve on committees, but may not vote, serve on the board or chair committees.
